Why wasn't there this much fuss made when Mike Oxsaw transferred from one dull Adminstrative company to another, to perform his dull as dishwater job, for £30 per hour?

I'm not quite sure how it never made the national news.

What are you on about? He's nothing like Ince....

Ince could shoot and score and create goals, could play anywhere in midfield and was just as good at going forward as he was at getting back and defending, he was also a natural leader in the pitch.

So no, the difference between the two is quite stark.

This "touting himself about" that more than one of you have referred to. Do you mean rumours on the internet?

Silly question, I know you do. Do you seriously think one of England's best players has to "tout himself about"?

Re: Is Rice behaving the same way as Ince
He's just a contractor, currently under a fixed term contract with a client, doing what that client is paying him fore. Nothing more, nothing less.

Any soft tart who says football is not "just a job" to him is either wilfully ignorant of the way things work of simply idol-worshipping.

Just like any contractor, he is under no liability to extend that contract if, for whatever reason (and he is not obliged to explain his reasons why to ANYONE), he chooses not to and seeks another client for his services.

If his current client wishes to retain him then they need to match whatever it is drawing him away or he will go.

The client - in this case the football team we all...well, most of us on here...support do NOT own him (as if he was a bonded slave); they have simply hired him for a clearly defined and agreed period of time.

Re: Is Rice behaving the same way as Ince
I haven’t got a problem with him when he is playing as he seems to give 100% and him wanting to win trophies ,but he should have a bit of respect for the club that brought him on to the player he is today after Chelsea fucked him off. He can leave in the summer if he wants to but there’s no need for touting himself about especially when we are only halfway though a season.

As a person I don't think he'd be my cup of tea, he's probably a nice enough kid but he strikes me as one of these over excitable, insufferable fuckers who probably doesn't stop talking and grinning, but as a player I rate him, although he definitely needs to improve on his final ball, goals, shooting and assists. Apart from being shit at all of that he's a good player, lol.

I would never doubt his professionalism though and still think he gives 100% for the badge, you can see that he hates losing, he has a good mentality.

As for the original question, no of course he isn't.

Re: Is Rice behaving the same way as Ince
Rice among others is just counting down the season until he can move on, don't think he's doing anything disrespectful and these rumours will only grow stronger as the season progresses.

Be seen in an Arsenal / Manu shirt before he's actually signed for them tho sand he's fair game.

Blimey, Rice is a bit of cunt the way he's touting himself around while playing shit, and he does love a pound note but he hasn't done anything in the same league bad as Ince did. Unless you're Irish....

Even the likes of Bobby Moore, Martin Peters, Paul Allen, Tony Cottee etc who were born locally and were at West Ham since they were kids all wanted to leave at some point because they wanted to win trophies.

Don’t blame Rice at all.

The club just need to operate like Daniel Levy and get the best price possible.

Re: Is Rice behaving the same way as Ince
He’s leaving because he wants to win trophies and is a top class player. I’d love him to stay but can’t blame him for wanting to go, he doesn’t owe us anything. It’s hard to accept as West Ham fans because we love the club, he was brought up a Chelsea fan so doesn’t have the same affinity

Rice is nothing like that Judas Ince....I don't blame him for wanting to leave. He is very unlikely to win anything here.He has been our best player this season and most of last.

Good luck to him.

There are some right thick cunts on here.

Re: Is Rice behaving the same way as Ince
It isn't as bad as Ince but still stinks. Spent the most money last summer ever to welcome players to a side with an inexperienced club captain (he was only captain on field before when noble was about) who is leaving cos we don't fulfill his desires. That is not the message u send to new signings. Noble would be telling them why they should be proud of being a hammer and life in East London etc whereas rice will have been telling them where he is going next, what he is gonna win etc. Terrible message to send out. Should have been stripped of captaincy. I hate the fucker and he makes me sick and has done all season. I know its not the general feeling but it's my opinion and I've had it since beginning of season. I questioned his mindset and the effect it would have. U all say he isn't doing an Ince but i bet he fucking would if we made things difficult. I bet this arsenal nonsense is all a smoke screen and I fully expect him in a Chelsea shirt next season. He is keeping his fingers crossed they can scrape Europe football.
